Buying an LG Dishwasher in India | Our Story

Dishwasher in India have always been seen as a product of luxury and never as a utility. It is mainly because of the easy availability of help and maids in every Indian household. In our family as well, we were aware of the dishwashers, but never felt the need for investing in it because of the cost and easy availability of good maids.

The thought of dishwashers started cropping up in our mind when the maids were gone, and we had to do all the work, including the dishwashing. When you think about it, sweeping and mopping can be done on alternate days or skipped for a while if needed, but dishwashing is a task in an Indian household for at least twice a day.

We bought an  LG dishwasher right away after having done the dishwashing for a good five months. Purchasing a dishwasher has been a journey, first researching it from every place, busting all the myths and getting it fitted. We have been using the dishwasher every day for two months now. We have decided to help others by breaking all the myths and helping clear all the doubts that we once had while buying the dishwasher.

When it comes to Dishwashers, we came across myths like will it be useful for an Indian Kitchen. We have different utensils and cook with heavy oils and masala. Will a dishwasher be able to handle these, or will we end up doing all the dishes ourselves.

Dishwashers are expensive, plus in India, everyone who can afford a dishwasher probably already has a maid. When you compare the price of the dishwasher with a maid, it feels like a luxury.

We are trying to bust all the myths and make a series on dishwashers in India with all sorts of pros and cons to help others decide if they want a dishwasher for themselves or not.
